Edward F. Caldwell Marble and Bronze Umbrella Stand this rare and fabulous umbrella stand one of very few made likely for one of the gilded age family’s mansions. Caldwell supplied such architects as Mead Mckim and White, Carrere and Hastings and clients including the Frick, Morgan, Carnegie etc. White marble carved in the French taste with bronze holder and basin. This piece is pictured in the Caldwell archive at the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York. Large binder 82 page 15. Account number A023719
