Queen Anne Black Japanned Bureau Bookcase a beautiful piece reputedly purchased by the previous owner from Kentshire Antiques in New York for 185,000 in the 1980s. With flat top over a pair of beveled mirror doors enclosing shelves and cubby holes and drawers, the base with a slant lid opening to a fitted interior with hidden compartment over two over two long drawers. Bun feet. The decoration is in fine condition with fabulous rich patina. A gorgeous piece to make a major statement in a living room.
